The Coach
Shiekh Parvaiz is a biomedical researcher and faculty at the Centre for Biomedical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India. He started his formal education with Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from S. P. College Srinagar (University of Kashmir) followed by a Masters in Biotechnology from Central University of South Bihar (CUSB). Trained as a bioengineer and material scientist, Parvaiz earned his PhD in Bioengineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), Kanpur, India. After a year of Postdoctoral fellowship at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Parvaiz joined Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CBME), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) as DST INSPIRE faculty.

I belong to Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. I have completed my undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery from People’s Dental Academy, Bhopal. My research interest is in regenerative medicine, biomimetics, and 3D bioprinting. Currently, as an MTech student at CBME-IITD, in the SMART lab, I am working on the synthesis and fabrication of a cardiac patch for the treatment of myocardial infarction.

I belong to Chandigarh Punjab. I am a Masters in Biotechnology from Punjab University. I joined the lab in July 2023 as a JRF. I am working on development of oxygen generating materials for chronic burn wounds.
